IDEAS FOR ENCOURAGEMENT
Quite often people ask “How do you know what to do to encourage someone?” What has been discovered is that it isn’t as easy for some as it is for others to think of practical ways to encourage. During a week-end session discussing this very thing with several friends, it was determined that it would be helpful to hold a brainstorming session to come up with ideas for encouragement. The focus was on listing specific ideas of encouragement for several individual groups such as Seniors, Children, Spouses, Missionaries, People in Stressful Situations, etc.
Because the question “How do I know what to do to encourage someone?” is asked repeatedly, we thought it might be helpful to those who want to be an encouragement to others to see what was suggested during that session. On this site we are including ideas from the brainstorming session as well as ideas that have been generated since then. Remember, the ideas came from a brainstorming session and are in no particular sequence—just ideas that you might possibly use to practice I Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, ...”
THE LIST INCLUDES:
Encouraging Children
Encouraging Missionaries
